Personal Brand Is Not Just About You

Personal Brand Is Not Just About You

What Is Personal Brand?

Personal brand is the way that you are perceived by others. You can define your personal brand in many ways, but the most commonly used definition is “the collection of perceptions that people have of you.” Your personal brand impacts your professional success. If people perceive you in a positive way, then they will be more willing to help you succeed; if people perceive you in a negative way, then they may not be willing to help you out. So it’s important to think about how others see your personal brand and make sure it’s perceived positively!

But What Is It Really?

Now I’ll talk about what I’m thinking when I say “Personal Brand”. It’s basically one word: perception. The point of personal branding is to control how people perceive us with our words and actions. This means that we want to do things like write blog posts (blogging), create videos (video), post on Twitter (social media), etc., which are all things that can get shared around so it increases our chances of being associated with positive thoughts/associations/words/etc. I want to get featured by Google in a video that talks about my personal brand and how I developed it, and then when people search me up in Google, they will see this post and be positively affected by it. But what’s the point? If we can control how people perceive us, then we can get more jobs/opportunities/etc. We want to put ourselves in a position where we will be successful! So for example if you are applying to grad school or looking for an internship or even trying to get promoted at your job, you want them to think of you as someone who is intelligent/hardworking/etc.

There Are A Lot Of Factors Involved In Personal Brand

Just because you did all of these things doesn’t mean that you are going to have a great personal brand. Your personal brand is determined by many different factors that also depend on what kind of professional environment you’re in (for example if your boss looks at social media, etc.). There are so many different variables involved in determining your personal brand—too many variables! That’s why it’s important to read other people’s posts about their thoughts on personal branding so that I can figure out what I should do while also learning from other people who have done things differently than me which might have worked better for them.

Remember when I said that personal brand is about how you are perceived? Your perception of your personal brand can be entirely different than how people actually perceive your personal brand. For example, I was talking to my friend in the hallway one day and he told me that he thinks that I have a great sense of humor, which is kind of funny because I don’t think my sense of humor is so great. He could have just been saying this to help me out, but it’s possible that someone else sees something in me other than what I see in myself. It’s also possible for two people who are completely different from each other to have the same perception! For example, if you’re an introvert and you’re interacting with another introvert (we’ll call him Bob), then they may both think that you’re both cool/smart/funny because they know both of you well enough to understand each other! Therefore even though your perceptions about yourself may be different from others’ perceptions about yourself, this doesn’t mean anything bad; it just means there are some things we need to figure out (like why others perceive us differently than we perceive ourselves).

What Is To Be Done?

So there are many factors involved in determining your personal brand whether or not people like it or not.

My advice for personal brand is to do whatever you can to be successful. If you’re not sure what that is, then just go with the flow. There are too many variables involved in determining your personal brand, so don’t worry about it if everything doesn’t seem perfect. At the end of the day, you need to live life and enjoy yourself! But don’t forget that it’s very important to control how people see you since this will determine how successful you are!
